NAPROFAZT is usually well-tolerated. However, in some people, there may be side effects like peripheral oedema, increased blood pressure, congestive heart failure, palpitations, vasculitis, tachycardia, dyspnoea, constipation, heartburn, abdominal pain, and nausea. Less frequently, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, stomatitis, vomiting, anorexia, colitis, peptic ulcers, GI bleeding/perforation, hematemesis and flatulence may occur.
Ailments like aches, pain and fever are all associated with an increased level of inflammation in the body. NAPROFAZT contains a drug called naproxen which can reduce inflammation and its effects on the body. Hence, NAPROFAZT can be used to offer temporary relief from fever and mild pain like cramps, toothache, backache etc. NAPROFAZT contains naproxen, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Anyone with hypersensitivities to aspirin and other NSAIDs should avoid using NAPROFAZT. NAPROFAZT is not suitable for people who have peptic ulcers as it may irritate the gut lining.
The dosage of NAPROFAZT depends on the severity of your condition. For pain relief in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis, take 1-2 capsules twice daily. For the symptomatic treatment of acute gouty arthritis, take 3 capsules initially followed by 1 capsule every 8 hours. For relief of mild to moderate pain or menstrual cramps and fever, take 2 capsules initially followed by 1 capsule every 6-8 hours or 2 capsules every 12 hours.
Are there any side effects of using NAPROFAZT?
