However, when the district opens a new high school, they do not put in a senior class.According to Brown, Sumner will open with around 1,700 to 1,800 students stanley termosar . For the first few years, the school will able to take on additional middle-school students who otherwise would be zoned for overcrowded surrounding middle schools. Shields Middle School and Eisenhower Middle School each have as many as 1,700 students. Brown said they are not built to hold that number of kids.
