A new fire truck and engine design are in production for the Bowling Green Fire Department.The department announced Friday that the new models will replace older equipment, keeping the older models aside when the newer fleet is being serviced or when multiple fires call for a bigger response.The department states one of the newest features will be the HAAS Alert System.This will send real time digital alerts from a transponder mounted in the cab to nearby motorists using the Waze Navigation App, according to the department.
