Viem Indiana man wanted for kidnapping and rape apprehended in Simpson County
Lafarge Canada Inc., with its Canada head office in Mississauga, was fined $400,000 following the death of one of its workers.On Aug. 23, 2017, one of Lafarges workers was leading contractors on a tour of a decommissioned cement plant in Zorra Township, Ont. The plant had ceased cement production and mining operations in 2008, and the tour was regarding the potential demolition of one of the decommissioned kiln buildings on site.The worker took contractors to the upper level of the kiln buildings, onto an exterior walkway.
