The University of Guelph says it is being proactive about ensuring safety on campus, following a large gathering that resulted in damage to a residence building over the weekend. We have additional security guards and residence staff in place. Our Campus Safety Office has extra officers on patrol, as well as paid duty officers from Guelph Police, said a statement from U of G, listing some of the enhanced security measures.The stanley thermos mug statement was sent out Monday, Sept. 13, in response to media inquiries about what the university calls a large unofficial gathering that took place on campus.
