Key considerations when seeking funding for inventions

Post by Carolyn Miller »

If you’re early on in the process and don’t yet have a prototype, you may want to consider an option like crowdfunding first. This will give you an opportunity to validate your business idea and show that there’s a need for what you’re offering. If you’re nearing commercialization, investors and loans can help bring your invention to market. This type of financing may cover manufacturing, a warehouse for shipping, and funds for production inventory. Depending on the innovation, some investors may want to get involved earlier in the development or wait until you’re ready to manufacture.

An important element with invention services is persistence. If a company doesn’t bother to follow up with you, it is possible that you’ll let them fall through the cracks as you balance everything else you need to stay on top of. Plus, it is an indicator that you and your invention aren’t a particular priority to them. Fortunately, this is definitely one of Invent Help’s strengths. They will personally reach out to you once you express interest and will follow up regularly through phone calls and messages to make sure you have the opportunity to speak to an agent about your idea and your needs. Having this persistence shows that your business is a personal priority to them and that they will make sure you get the attention you need, even if life is hectic on your end.

Quite some time ago we started like many inventor support do. Ideas turned into models that turned into viable products. We went to manufacture and made as many mistakes as might be possible. We followed hunches, lost money, went through poor facilities, and finally decided to get it right. We are different. We don’t want a percentage of your sales, we do not want your intellectual property, and we do not make promises for your success. We choose instead to help design, develop, and prototype your idea. From there, we can reach out to world-class factories for manufacturing quotes. We quote your project assembled, packaged, inspected, and shipped to your door. Customs, quality control, everything.

The entire process can seem daunting. Where do I start? What’s next? How will this process play out? We simplify everything. We have a proven process in place to help you, no matter how far along in the process you are. Work smart, work hard, but always work toward your end goal, which is ultimate ‘the market’.
