Navy Blue Cabinets Question

Post by xesebik »

Hi everyone,

I’m considering painting my kitchen cabinets navy blue and would love some advice! I’m drawn to the rich, deep color but want to ensure it’ll work with my space. Has anyone had experience with navy blue cabinets?

How do they pair with different countertop materials, especially lighter ones like white or gray? Also, any tips on hardware choices that complement navy blue would be great! I'm aiming for a modern yet cozy vibe.

Lastly, does anyone have recommendations for brands or specific paint types that offer durability?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Hi there!

I recently painted my kitchen cabinets navy blue, and I love the transformation! Navy blue cabinets pair beautifully with lighter countertops, such as white or gray, creating a stunning contrast that feels both modern and inviting. For countertops, I recommend options like quartz or light granite to keep the space bright.

Regarding hardware, consider brushed gold or brass accents; they add warmth and elegance to the navy blue cabinets. Matte black can also look sleek if you're going for a more contemporary feel.

As for paint, I used Benjamin Moore's "Hale Navy," and it has held up wonderfully. Make sure to use a quality primer and a durable topcoat to ensure longevity.
