Is book writing and being a book writer worth it?

Post by Kerly »

I've been thinking a lot about book writing and whether it's truly worth the effort. Some say it's a fulfilling journey, while others argue it takes too much time with little return.

For those who've written books, was it a rewarding experience for you? Did it help you financially, or was it more about personal satisfaction?

With so many publishing options available today, from traditional to self-publishing and even ebook writing services that help with editing and marketing, the process has definitely evolved. But does that mean it's easier to succeed as a writer now?

Also, what about the struggle of writer’s block, marketing challenges, and competition? Do you think it’s still a viable career in today’s fast-paced digital world, or has it become more of a passion project than a profession?

I’d love to hear your thoughts—whether you’re an aspiring author, a published writer, or just someone who loves books.

Is book writing worth the time and effort in 2025? Let’s discuss it!
