Chattanooga firefighters extinguished a fire at Acropolis Mediterranean Grill on Hamilton Place Boulevard on Thursday, September 1, 2022. / Photo courtesy of the Chattanooga Fire Department Acropolis Mediterranean Grill at Hamilton Place has closed after a fire broke out Thursday evening, according to a Chattanooga Fire Department news release.Chattanooga firefighters responded to the restaurant on Hamilton Place Boulevard around 6:35 p.m. and discovered smoke coming from a fire on the roof that had started in the vent system.Firefighters accessed the roof and quickly extinguished the vent system fire and put out a blaze that had spread underneath the roof, according to the news release.Engine 8, under the command of Capt.
