Mason and Roberts arrived shortly after, and Borzell got in the passenger side front seat.Borzellwanted to sell 3 lbs. of marijuana for $8,000, but police believe Roberts and Mason wanted to rob him.As the transaction turned into a robbery, police say an altercation began in the vehicle. Both sides were armed with handguns.Borzell hoka wanderschuh got out of the car, pulled his 9mm from his front pocket and opened fire, hitting the vehicle 11 times.One of those rounds hit Roberts in the back, and everyone left the scene.Roberts died of his injuries and the three pounds of marijuana and firearm from Mason s vehicle have not been recovered.Borzellwas charged with murder in the 3rd degree, criminal solicitation and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. A drug deal gone south in Brooksville turned into numerous shots fired and a man losing his life.Surveillance video from a local restaurant captured the shooting.It started in January when Anthony Borzell asked his co-worker at Arland Car Wash if he could set up a drug transaction.The meeting was set up for Borzell to meet with De Aundre Roberts and Napoleon Mason.On Jan. 23 af1 , Borzell arr air max 1 ived at Coney Island Restaurant and backed into a dark area. Mason and Roberts arrived shortly after, and Borzell got in the passenger side front seat.Borzellwanted to sell 3 lbs. of marijuana for $8,000, but police believe Roberts and Mason wanted to rob him.As the transaction turned into a robbery, police say an altercation began in the vehicle. Both sides were armed with handguns.Borzell hoka wanderschuh got out of the car, pulled his 9mm from his front pocket and opened fire, hitting the vehicle 11 times.One of those rounds hit Roberts in the back, and everyone left the scene.Roberts died of his injuries and the three pounds of marijuana and firearm from Mason s vehicle have not been recovered.Borzellwas charged with murder in the 3rd degree, criminal solicitation and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. He was booked into the Hernando County Jail and is held on $37,000 bond.Further charges against others involved in the incident have been forwarded to the State Attorney s Office for filing decisions.
